The Poolrooms has released new production images ahead of a planned December 25 opening. Bloody Disgusting’s first look introduces a teenager trapped in an impossible complex of swimming pools, slides and hidden passageways.
Galen Christy and Sasha Yelaun direct the film. Their new images also introduce SUNNY, a figure intended to turn a familiar childhood object into something threatening. Alexander Kane is among the producers, with Brian Katz executive producing.
The filmmakers told Bloody Disgusting that principal locations included Rigby’s Water World and Assembly Studios in Atlanta. They also described using Maya and Blender to extend environments beyond the spaces captured during filming.
That production statement explains how the team describes its process; it is not an independent technical audit of every image in the finished film. The release date is the project’s current plan. The new material is a first look at its setting and creature, rather than a review of the completed feature.
