Blumhouse Atomic Monster has confirmed that The Last Kiss will premiere exclusively on digital retail platforms on September 15, 2026. Distributed by Universal Pictures Home Entertainment, the film is available for purchase with no ads or subscription required.

Directed and co-written by Yoko Okumura, known for Unseen, the film is described as a stylistic slasher with a unique twist. The studio, which also produced Five Nights at Freddy’s and Obsession, frames the project as a fun and twisted coming-of-age mystery thriller. The narrative centers on Laurel, played by Mckenna Grace, who discovers she is cursed to see the death of anyone she kisses. When a vision reveals her crush is targeted in a murder spree affecting her close friends, she races to unmask the killer before the situation escalates into a massacre.

The cast includes Jaden Michael, known for Colin in Black & White, and Arkira Chantaratananond from Twinless. Production credits include Michael Fimognari as director of photography, Danielle Sahota as production designer, and Tangelene Bolton for music, supervised by John Bissell. Casting was handled by Terri Taylor and Sarah Domeier Lindo.

Horror Society reported the announcement on September 11, 2026. The release is positioned as a spooky sleepover movie for mystery lovers of all ages, taking the anxiety surrounding a first kiss and escalating it to life-or-death stakes. No theatrical dates or streaming service deals have been announced.
