Alamo Drafthouse has revealed the first look teaser trailer for Littermates, an indie sci-fi horror film screening at Fantastic Fest 2026 this month. The film, written and directed by Scott Tinkham and Michael Woloson, previously premiered at Dances With Films earlier in the summer. According to FirstShowing, the film has already received some good reviews.
The story is set against the backdrop of a mysterious war. Two disoriented survivors, Liam (Joey Bader) and Mel (Kaylee McGregor), arrive at an isolated cottage in the English countryside bloodied and speechless. They are taken in by Chester (Oliver Woolf), an enigmatic caretaker who bathes, feeds, and teaches them how to speak again. Chester insists they must stick together and never go outside.
As sirens and distant threats press closer, the characters relearn simple tasks within Chester’s controlled world. They earn “nifties” for good behavior, which can be traded for small comforts like karaoke, hot tub time, and dance parties. FirstShowing describes the film as a clever new cinematic creation for genre fans, noting the strange situation of the characters being cared for in a cottage.
The trailer and posters were shared via YouTube. The film is currently scheduled for its Fantastic Fest screening, with no further release dates or distribution details announced in the packet.
