Kristen Stewart will star in Olivier Assayas’ Spiritual World, reuniting the actor and director after Personal Shopper. Bloody Disgusting relays Variety’s casting report, which describes Stewart’s character as a clairvoyant troubled by unexplained premonitions.
Vicky Krieps, Riley Keough and Wagner Moura are also attached, alongside Barbara Sukowa and Niels Schneider. The ensemble puts several performers around a story whose full plot has not yet been disclosed.
According to the report, filming is planned for February in France and Germany. That is a production plan, rather than confirmation that cameras are already rolling or that the film has a release slot.
Stewart and Moura are also part of the announced cast of Flesh of the Gods, the Panos Cosmatos project from A24. Spiritual World is a separate film, with Assayas directing. A distributor, completed production schedule and public release date are not established in this casting update.
