Key of Bones: Curse of the Ghost Pirate returns to Key West for its premiere weekend, offering horror audiences a localized event tied directly to the film’s production history. The horror-comedy was shot entirely on location in Key West, and the premiere schedule reflects that connection by hosting the main event at the Tennessee Williams Theatre.

The Key West Premiere Weekend runs October 2–3. Opening night on Friday includes a red carpet from 6:30 to 8:00 PM, a cast and filmmaker Q&A, and a pirate sea battle. The evening concludes with an after-party at a well-known waterfront bar. Saturday continues the weekend programming with additional screenings and events.

Following the Key West events, the film moves to Tampa for a one-night special screening on Tuesday, October 6. This showing is scheduled at the University of Tampa’s Charlene A. Gordon Theater in the Ferman Center for the Arts. Tickets for both the Key West weekend and the Tampa screening are currently on sale.

Written and directed by Tony Armer, the film follows a Key West waitress, a ghost tour guide, and an unlucky tourist who awaken the vengeful ghost of pirate Anne Bonny. Armer has described the project in interviews as a blend of Shaun of the Dead, The Goonies, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

iHorror reported that the premiere serves as a homecoming for the production. The event structure combines traditional red carpet elements with specific genre-themed activities, such as the sea battle and Q&A sessions. No further release dates or distribution details beyond these specific screenings have been announced in the source material.
