Jessica Biel is set to star in a series adaptation of Keith Rosson’s 2025 vampire novel, Coffin Moon. The project is being developed by Biel and Michelle Purple’s production banner, Iron Ocean, in partnership with Paramount Television Studios. This development occurs under Iron Ocean’s first-look deal with the studio, marking another ongoing collaboration between the two entities.

The series is described as a cold revenge story set against a brutal 1975 Oregon winter. It centers on a Vietnam veteran and his adopted niece who pursue relentless revenge after a vampire murders their family. Their mission to hunt the creature down is framed as a bleak, high-stakes battle for survival. Rosson will serve as a consulting producer on the project.

Noah Harpster and Micah Fitzerman-Blue are attached to adapt the book and serve as showrunners. The duo previously delivered A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood and created the Netflix limited series Painkiller. Their involvement brings established television experience to the adaptation process.

Coffin Moon is strictly a small-screen project. It joins another concurrent collaboration between Paramount Television Studios and Iron Ocean: a series adaptation of Robert Ludlum’s The Ambler Warning, which also features Biel as a star and executive producer.

Biel’s television work coincides with her return to cinema. She is preparing for Matchbox The Movie alongside John Cena, which is scheduled to arrive on Apple TV on October 9, 2026. The Coffin Moon announcement adds a horror-focused series to her upcoming schedule without conflicting with her film commitments.

No release date, network, or additional cast members have been announced for Coffin Moon. The project remains in the development phase, with the primary focus currently on the adaptation and showrunning team.
