A new poster for Fall 2: Deadpoint has been released, marking the latest marketing push for Lionsgate’s high-stakes survival thriller ahead of its scheduled arrival this fall. The visual confirms the franchise’s continued focus on extreme vertical peril, shifting the setting from urban structures to natural terrain while maintaining the core premise of characters stranded at lethal heights.

The film centers on Jax, played by Harriet Slater, who is overwhelmed by the death of her sister Hunter in the original movie. To heal, Jax connects with Luce, portrayed by Arsema Thomas, who was described as Hunter’s fearless friend. The narrative drives them to attempt the infamous plank walk of Mount Kwan in Thailand. This location serves as the primary backdrop for the sequel’s central conflict.

During their ascent, a sudden rockslide leaves Jax and Luce stranded on a fragile plank suspended 3,000 feet in the air. The synopsis states that Jax must confront her deepest fears and fight for survival to find closure. This setup mirrors the structural tension of the first film, where best friends Becky and Hunter found themselves stuck at the top of a 2,000-foot TV tower after a high-rise climb went wrong. Now, two friends are trapped on the side of a mountain.

The creative team behind Fall 2: Deadpoint includes directors Michael and Peter Spierig, known for their work on Jigsaw and Predestination. The film has received a PG-13 rating from the MPAA for strong language, some violent content or bloody images, and drug material. Original Fall writer-director Scott Mann co-wrote the script with Jonathan Frank. Mann is also already locked in to return to the director’s chair for Fall 3, indicating immediate plans for a third installment.

Production credits reunite producers Mark Lane and James Harris of Tea Shop Productions, who previously worked on 47 Meters Down and Obsession. They are joined by Capstone’s Christian Mercuri, David Haring, and Mann via the Flawless banner. The cast also features Tom Brittney, known for his role in Greyhound, alongside Slater and Thomas.

The trailer for the sequel delivered elements consistent with expectations for a Fall follow-up. It looked packed with the kind of low-budget thrills this franchise is known for. The footage appeared exhilarating and suspenseful, content to be a straightforward thriller that prioritizes entertainment over complexity.

No specific release date beyond “this fall” has been announced in conjunction with the poster drop. Details regarding physical media distribution or international rollout remain unconfirmed. The current marketing materials focus on establishing the new setting and character dynamics rather than providing a precise timeline for theatrical or home video availability.
