Horror Society reported that Erie, a found footage feature set in the last days of 1999, will world premiere on October 1, 2026. The film marks the feature debut of Alison-Eve Hammersley, a filmmaker previously known for the short films Fragile.com and You’ll Only Have Each Other.

The screening is scheduled for 7:00 PM at the Los Feliz 3 Theatre in Los Angeles. Erie will appear as part of a programming series sponsored by MUBI at Beyond Fest, described in the report as the highest-attended genre film festival in the United States. A Q&A session will follow the premiere, featuring Hammersley, co-writer J. Batzli, actors Carly Stewart and Grant Crater, and producers George Henry Horton and Matt Gossen.

Stewart and Crater headline the cast as siblings investigating their sister’s mysterious death. The plot connects this event to a string of local suicides, with explanations that may or may not be supernatural. Ryan Garcia also stars in the film as Red. Hammersley co-wrote the script with Batzli, who previously won the Shore Scripts Short Film Fund for Little Anna.

Production credits include Hammersley and Anna Golin for Rat’s Nest Pictures, Thomas Hartmann, George Henry Horton for Dark Atlantic, and Matt Gossen. Following its Los Angeles debut, Erie is scheduled to screen at the Brooklyn Horror Film Festival in October, which will serve as its East Coast premiere. No further release dates or distribution details were included in the announcement.
