DreamQuil has released its first trailer, with Elizabeth Banks playing a mother who discovers a robot has taken her place at home. The video is hosted by Patriot Pictures and introduces Alex Prager’s feature directing debut.

Carol signs up for a digital wellness retreat while struggling to connect with her husband Gary and their child. When she returns, the corporation’s substitute, Carol 2, has become part of the household. John C. Reilly plays Gary, setting up a domestic conflict around an increasingly intrusive technology company.

FirstShowing reports that the cast also includes Juliette Lewis, Sofia Boutella, Kathryn Newton and Lamorne Morris. Alex and Vanessa Prager wrote the screenplay, and the film premiered at SXSW earlier this year.

The trailer gives a first public look at the film’s combination of marital anxiety and technological horror. The report anticipates a 2026 release but does not supply a final date. Watch the trailer on the credited channel below.
