Writer-director Drew Hancock, known for his work on Companion, is returning to the horror genre with a new feature titled Seasons. According to a report by HorrorFuel, the film is a creepypasta horror project that has transitioned to Amazon MGM Studios. The production is currently moving toward a nationwide theatrical release scheduled for November 12, 2027.

The film’s plot centers on Harry, a former Marine attempting to reintegrate into civilian life, and his partner, Sasha. The couple secures an idyllic ranch in Idaho through a lowball real estate offer. However, the property is inhabited by ancient, territorial spirits that demand total submission. To maintain their residence on the land, the couple is forced to perform increasingly gruesome, blood-soaked rituals with every turn of the calendar.

Amazon MGM Studios, Blumhouse, Atomic Monster, 21 Laps, and 12:01 Films are joining forces to produce the film. The project originated as a viral Reddit story before entering development and receiving its current title. The narrative explores the idea that some bargain properties come with catastrophic catches, specifically requiring human sacrifice to win a real estate bid.

Hancock has assembled a cast led by Jack Reynor, previously seen in Midsommar, and Lily James, known for Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The ensemble also features Ron Perlman from Hellboy, Elizabeth McGovern from Talamasca, and Wes Studi from Avatar: Fire and Ash. This lineup brings together actors with established credits in both horror and mainstream cinema.

No further details regarding the film’s specific production timeline or additional cast members have been announced in the source material.
