Curry Barker’s Anything But Ghosts will open in theaters on May 7, 2027. Bloody Disgusting reports the date for the horror comedy, which follows two fraudulent ghost hunters who encounter the real thing.
Barker directs from a screenplay he co-wrote with Cooper Tomlinson. The longtime collaborators also star, moving from the premise of a fake paranormal business into the consequences of discovering that its subject actually exists.
Aaron Paul, Bryce Dallas Howard, Chris Reinacher and Violet McGraw join the cast. Producers include Jason Blum, Roy Lee, Steven Schneider, Adam Hendricks and Greg Gilreath. Barker and Tomlinson are also executive producers.
The project follows Barker’s Obsession and is set in the same universe, according to the report. Its comic setup gives the filmmakers a different approach to supernatural danger while retaining a grounded setting. The newly announced date concerns the theatrical release; a subsequent streaming or physical-media window has not been established.
